Associate Scientist - Genotyping
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, optimize, and execute high throughput genotyping by a variety of methods
- Provide general molecular biology support to projects as needed including construct building, plasmid DNA extractions, restriction enzyme digests, DNA sequencing
Associate Scientist - Cyanobacteria
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise in the areas of vector construction, gene cloning, site-directed mutagenesis, gene expression and promoter characterization
- Integrate with strain development scientists to construct/optimize metabolic pathway activity focused on product generation
- Participate in the design and execution of genetic screens focused on strain optimization
Student Assistant
Primary Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain glassware
- Maintain and replenish general laboratory stock solutions, solid and liquid media
- Provide support to laboratory manager in general upkeep, stock keeping and equipment maintenance
- Support ongoing research as needed through plasmid DNA purification, RNA isolation, fatty acid esterification
Wheat Breeding Lead
Primary Responsibilities:

Create and maintain breeding plan.

Identify, introgress and evaluate in multi-location agronomic studies,optimal mutant product/s.

Implement the use of molecular markers in breeding where appropriate.

Coordinate and manage greenhouse projects.
-
Expected travel is approximately 30% per year depending on location of successful candidate.
