Chairman and CEO
Bob Woods is the Chairman and CEO of Targeted Growth, Inc.  Mr. Woods is a highly-respected leader of the global agriculture industry, having served in executive positions at several major ag chemical and seed companies, including Chairman of Syngenta Corp - US and Group President of Zeneca/ICI  Ag Products.  Mr. Woods is a past Chairman of Crop Life America (CLA) and the Council for Biotechnology.  He has received numerous industry awards including CLA's highest honor, the Lea S. Hitchner Service Award.   He currently serves on the boards of Gowan Company, Vertellus Specialties, Inc. and Athena Biotechnologies.

 

Robert W. Day, M.D., Ph.D.

Robert W. Day Founder, Director, and Vice-Chairman
Dr. Day retired as President of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in mid-1997 after serving as President for 16 years during which time the Center grew from 300 to more than 2,000 staff members. He currently is a member of the National Cancer Policy Board (National Academy of Sciences/Institute of Medicine). He is Chairman and CEO of ORCA BioSciences and serves on a number of Boards of Directors. He attended Harvard College and holds an M.D. from the University of Chicago and Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley.

Robert Barkley

Since taking over the family business in 1979, Mr. Barkley has expanded Barkley Company’s agricultural interests to include seed and grain handling, cotton trading and freight services to the agricultural industry. Barkley AG Enterprises is involved in cereal grain development and merchandising, commodity marketing and production agriculture.

 

Troy Fukumoto

Managing Director, Private Equity and Venture Capital

Troy Fukumoto is the Managing Director of Private Equity and Venture Capital within AllianceBernstein's Alternative Investment Management Group. The group manages over $8 billion of private equity and hedge fund investments. Troy manages partnership investments in buyout, growth equity, distressed, venture capital, energy, secondaries, and fund of funds as well as direct investments and co-investments. With over 20 years of investment and operating experience, Troy has managed over 50 direct investments and been responsible for investments in a number of leading technology, digital media, life science, and cleantech companies. Earlier in Troy's career, he led teams building mission critical satellites and held both project management and line management positions, and focused on custom designed spread spectrum demodulators and digital processing systems. Troy holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the USC Viterbi School of Engineering and an M.B.A. from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

 

Ion Yadigaroglu

Ion Yadigaroglu Managing Principal, Capricorn Investment Group
Mr. Yadigaroglu co-heads Capricorn Investment Group. Capricorn is the investment arm of Jeff Skoll, the first president and first full-time employee of eBay; Capricorn is also the investment manager for the Skoll Foundation, and an affiliate of Participant Productions, which films include “Good Night, and Good Luck,” “Syriana,” and “An Inconvenient Truth.” Mr. Yadigaroglu was previously with Koch Industries, Inc., the largest privately owned company in the world, as Director of Business Development, where he executed a broad range of acquisitions and investments. Prior to Koch, he was a founder and CEO of Bivio, a software engineering company in Colorado, and an analyst for Olsen & Associates, a foreign exchange trading company in Switzerland. After receiving a degree in Physics from ETHZ in Switzerland, Mr. Yadigaroglu obtained a Ph.D. in Astrophysics from Stanford University in 1997, and was a research fellow at Columbia University.
